Virtual Tours

Pano Media offers a variety of virtual tour options to our customers. Our primary objectives are to ensure that users viewing your virtual tour do so as efficiently as possible and that your product is showcased in the best possible manner.

Before deciding on a virtual tour, it is important to decide on what type of tour would best suit your needs. There are 4 types of tours:

View Flash Virtual Tour A 360 By 360 Spherical Virtual Tour

View Java Virtual Tour A 360 By 360 Spherical Virtual Tour

View Flash Virtual Tour A 360 By 180 Cylindrical Virtual Tour

View Java Virtual Tour A 360 By 180 Cylindrical Virtual Tour

Flash Spherical Pano View
This is our most recommended tour as it allows customers to get the complete feel of your establishment and allows them to see a full spherical view of the rooms. Adobe Flash Player is now packaged as standard software with Microsoft Windows therefore there should be no additional downloads for users.

Upside:
  • Packaged with Microsoft Windows
  • Better resolution of panoramic images
  • Quicker downloads
Downside:
  • May be slow for users not using DSL lines

Java Spherical Pano View
Java unfortunately has more downsides rather than upsides, however some clients do request Java Pano Views. The main downfall of Java is that the customers will need to have the software installed on their PC’s. This will entail a download, installation and only then will they be able to view the panos. Additionally, we have found the quality of Java panos are not as clear as Flash panos.

Upside:
  • None that we can really think of
Downside:
  • Possibility of download required by client
  • Quality suffers in certain instances
  • May be slow for DSL Users

Cylindrical Flash and Java Tours
These Pano Views do not feature a full spherical image. Instead users are able to see a 360 degree view without the option of the ceilings and floors. The speed of these panos are quicker than the spherical views, however these speed differences will not affect users on DSL lines materially. If your target market would be one utilising normal telephones lines to access the internet or similar, then this may be a better option.

Upside:
  • Packaged with Microsoft Windows
  • Better resolution of panoramic images
  • Quicker downloads
Downside:
  • May be slow for users not using DSL lines
